How it works
From rough draft to writing you stand behind
Five simple steps, worked through in a single workspace — with clear limits on what each result can tell you.
- 01
Paste your writing
Open the workspace and add the draft you want to work on. You will see the word count and an estimated reading time before you run anything.
- 02
Check its estimated AI-writing percentage
Run a check to see how the text reads and the measurements behind it. If no detection service has supplied a real estimate, TypeUp AI shows no number rather than a guess.
- 03
Humanise or improve your text
Choose a rewriting style and strength, or use grammar, academic feedback and tone tools. Your meaning, facts and citations stay intact.
- 04
Review the revised version
Compare the original and the rewritten text side by side, read what changed and why, then copy or download the version you want.
- 05
Run another check if your plan allows
Check the revised text again if you have checks left on your plan. A new result is still an estimate and is not a guaranteed reduction.
What an AI percentage can tell you
A detection tool produces a probability from patterns in the text. That makes it a signal, not a verdict. Two detectors can give two different numbers for the same paragraph, and both can be wrong. Use it as one prompt to review your own writing.
What it cannot tell you
It cannot establish who wrote a piece of text, and it cannot tell you how your teacher, college or university will assess your work. TypeUp AI never labels anyone as cheating and never guarantees a result.
AI-writing detection is an estimate, not proof of who wrote a piece of text. Results may be inaccurate and can vary between detection tools. TypeUp AI cannot guarantee how another AI detector, teacher, college or university will assess your work.
