Privacy Policy
This policy explains what TypeUp AI collects, why, and how you stay in control of your writing and your account.
Last updated 11 October 2026
What we collect
Your email address and the name you give at sign-up, so we can create and secure your account.
The writing you choose to submit to a tool, and the results we return, so you can review, compare, save and delete them.
Usage records: how many words, checks and humaniser requests you have used, which tool you used, and whether the request succeeded. We keep these to enforce plan allowances, monitor costs and fix problems.
Payment information is handled by our payment provider. We do not store card details ourselves.
How we use it
To run the tools you ask for, to keep your allowance and history accurate, to provide support when you ask for it, and to keep the service reliable and free of abuse.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use private student submissions to train models without your explicit consent.
Who processes it
Text you submit to a tool is sent to the AI provider that performs the rewriting or analysis, so the result can be produced. We limit what is sent to the text itself plus the settings you chose.
Before you use a paid AI-detection service, the app tells you that your text will be sent to that service. Integration providers are replaceable, and we review them for cost and reliability.
How long we keep it
Saved writing stays in your account until you delete it. You can delete a single piece of writing, clear your whole history, or delete your account data from Account Settings.
Usage records are kept for as long as needed to manage allowances, billing and support.
Your rights
You can access, correct and delete your data from Account Settings, or contact support for anything you cannot do there. If you are in the UK or EU, you also have the right to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
Important limits
AI-writing detection is an estimate, not proof of who wrote a piece of text. Results may be inaccurate and can vary between detection tools. TypeUp AI cannot guarantee how another AI detector, teacher, college or university will assess your work.
